Sailing to Symi. Symi, Greece After
a classic get together, leave Rhodes and sail to the island of Symi. Swim
stop on the way in a Symi Bay. Late afternoon arrival in port of Symi. Overnight
Symi, Greece Early morning sailing to and arrival
in Bodrum in time for an excursion to the Castle and the city once called
Halicarnassus. Bodrum is a Turkish port town on the southern coast of
Bodrum Peninsula. The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus once stood over the bay
and was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. In the evening
cruise to Amorgo. Overnight at sea. Overnight at sea to Amorgos.
In the early morning reach Amorgos, a classic Cycladic island. Weather
permitting, stop in a secluded bay for a swim and delightful deck BBQ. In
the early afternoon reach the port of Amorgos in time for an excursion of this
oblong island with an abrupt mountainous morphology. The island is
distinguished for its archeological wealth, popular architechural art, and
abundance of ruins dating to pre-historic times. Overnight in port.
Leave early in the morning and reach Manganari Beach on Ios
Island. After breakfast stop for a swim. Ios is a hilly island with
cliffs and beautiful beaches. It was the setting for many
movies. Cruise to Santorini arriving just after lunch. The Santorini
of today is what remained after an enormous volcanic explosion whch occurred
some 3,600years ago at the height of the Minoan Civilization destroying the
earliest settlements on what was formerly a single island and leading to the
creation of the current geological Caldera. Its spectacular physical
beauty along with the dynamic nightlife have made the island one of Europes
tourism hotspots.Santorini, Greece Afternoon
excursion. Late in the evening we leave Santorini and sail overnight to
Crete, Aghios Nikolaos
Early morning arrival in Aghios Nikolaos-Vai
Bay/Crete. Crete. The optional excursion this morning will bring you to the
Knossos Archaeological siste, testimony to the richness and might of the Minoan
Civilization. The beautiful town of Aghios Nikolaos is also perfect for
shopping and relaxing. In the afternoon, leave for Vai Bay the eastern
most point of the island of Crete. Anchoring in a protected bay facing a
palm tree forest, we spend the night.Swim stop.
Leaving the calm and beauty of Vai Bay, the Panorama sails to Karpathos, the
second largest of the Docecanese islands. Located half way between its
more famous neighbors, the islands of Rhodes and Crete, Karpathos has beauty and
hospitality that are unmatched anywhere else in greeece. What makes
Karpathos unique are its people, culture, and the celebration of its
heritage. The captain will anchor in a picturesque bay for a swim
stop. In the evening, depart for Lindos.
Early morning arrival in Lindos. Today's optional excursion includes a visit
to the Acropolis of Lindos and a visit to the village.Surrounded by 13th century
crusader fortifications and clinging to the rocks above the village, the center
piece is the Acropolis, a 4th century BC Temple of Lindian Athena.
The views across the bay are spectacular. In the afternoon cruise
along the Eastern Coast of the Island. Dock in Rhodes port right next to
the walled Old City of the Crusaders Rhodes Overnight in port.
